こどもからこどもへのメッセージ

Thank you so much for all your kind and thoughtful inquiries.
We created a special section for the message board – children to children.
This is where children can leave messages for children in Japan who are facing not only the tragedy of the earthquake, tsunami, and fire, but also the fear of nuclear radiation.
Many children lost their houses, their belongings, and their loved ones.

We have received letters from state government officials expressing their gratitude.
Most schools opened in temporary places (One elementary school finally re-opened two months after the quake).
Children in Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima were excited to read messages from all over the world.
We are told that children are glad to receive comforting, encouraging, and heart-warming messages.

Please put children’s age or grades as well as their name (no last name, please; nickname is OK)s in the message, so the children in Japan know that kids their age are cheering them on.

We have translators, who are happy to translate your message. So please do not hesitate to leave a message in any language.

  • Kids can still leave messages for rescue workers, fire fighters, and police officers in another page >>>

Please see the following sample comment section on how to write a message to Japanese children.
After following the direction, you can leave the comments at the end of this page.

I hope you will plant new seeds and build new houses. Although it will not be the same, maybe it will be better.

  51. Hello my friend. My name is Forrest. I am in 6th grade, and I am twelve. I feel very sorry for you. You have been through an earthquake, a tsunami, and probably radiation poisoning from the destroyed power plant. But alas, I can send you nothing but my wishes and prayers. I hope this comes out the best for you. If you have lost someone, be sure to keep them close in your heart.
    Our thoughts go with you,
    Forrest

We’re sorry that you had this earthquake; earthquakes are terrible and we hope that they have stopped.
We hope this never happens again and that you can rebuild things that were destroyed.
We love you and we hope you stay safe.
    Love,
